Amal Clooney is one of the most famous women of the last ten years and certainly needs no introduction. For those who have spent the last few years on the moon, please be infomed that Amal is a very affirmed lawyer who fights for human rights. She has worked with well-known personalities such as Julian Assange and Kofi Annan and, together with Nadja Murad, is waging a battle against ISIS and the horrific use of rape as a war weapon.
Among various victories, she also boasts the one that many considered unlikely, or impossible, that is to say she has tamed the golden bachelor George Clooney within a few months from their first meeting.

George personally reported on a tv show how he asked for Amal’s hand. The proposal took place during a quiet evening at home, during which he cooked and the romantic songs of his aunt, the singer Rosemary Clooney, played on the background. George had hidden the ring in a drawer. After dinner, he asked Amal to take some candles that were right inside that drawer and… surprise! George said he remained on his knee for almost half an hour because Amal – completely stunned – couldn’t make up her mind to answer him!
But it’s all ‘s well that ends well and George’s stiff leg still works. The two got married with a great ceremony in Venice in September 2014, blocking the city for three days and now have a delightful pair of twins aged five years.
The style of the ring chosen by George is very classy, timeless, perfect for a lady and, therefore, appropriate for the refined elegance and tapered hand of Amal. The central diamond weights about 7 carats – undoubtedly conflict-free – and is an emerald cut, accompanied by 2 side baguettes diamonds. This centre stone is masterfully cut and has perfect proportions. The double claws bind it to a platinum cathedral setting.

The estimated price of this marvelous jewel is around $ 750,000.
I’ve read a lot of papers about this engagement ring, but I must admit that no one has ever reported the designer’s name. I personally think it could be a Harry Winston’s.

Until the wedding eve, Amal used to wear her ring on her left ring finger, where she left it for some months after the ceremony, and keeping her wedding ring (a subtle and lovely eternity band) on her right ring finger. This habit did not last long: shortly thereafter, she reversed the two rings and, even today, we see the wedding ring on the left hand and the engagement ring on the right.
The only thing that never changes is the attention that Amal dedicates to manicure, which is always impeccable: from nude, to light pink, passing through rouge noir, red-wine and brown-mud, Amal loves varying colors, at any rate every hue looks perfect with her rings.
Amal is an amazing woman: she has brain, strenght, professionalism, class, politeness, elegance. To me she is true inspiration.
