Once the Pitt issue was over, and after a few relationships, in 2011 Jennifer began dating the actor, director and screenwriter Justin Theroux, whom she met on the set of ‘Wanderlust’. I remember that, at that time, a magazine labelled him “a nice eye candy”. Well, how can I blame them?

On August 5, 2015, the two tied the knot in their Bel Air house, but separated after just two years. It’s a pity about this divorce, however we still have the memory of a very particular ring…

In this ring, unlike Brad’s, the gem takes all the show. It is a unique, enormous rock. It is a rose cut diamond of approximately 8 carat weight. The first rose cuts date back to the 1500s and have a rich tradition.

The rose cut is completely different from the brilliant cut we are more used to: it has a flattened bottom and a dome-shaped crown, generally made up of 24 facets.

The rose cut is so named because it is inspired by the spiral of a rose’s petals.

This cut has a more subdued brightness, a softer and discreet light. Rose cut diamonds are so beautiful for this unique and romantic mood.

This ring does not have additional diamonds accompanying the central gemstone and does not have a twisted or contorted setting. The diamond is alone, held by 8 prongs and is mounted on a simple slightly rounded and luminous yellow gold band. No frills.

Some may say this jewel looks more like a cocktail ring than an engagement ring, yet I believe and hope I have seen something personal in it, which – in my opinion – is what makes an engagement ring truly special.

I think that Justin was able to translate into this jewel the desire to keep their marriage and world out of sight. The gemstone is precious and large, in order to contain all his feelings and has a rounded shape, like an adventurous camping tent or a large and welcoming house, but be careful: the diamond is not transparent because what happens inside is protected and will not be revealed nor shouted from the rooftops.

I like to think that he promised this to his Jen: after all the clamour, the judgments and the magnifying glass to which she was subjected following her divorce from Brad Pitt, their love is an intimate, delicate and private space. It’s a world away from the Hollywood glitter and glamour and it is perfect for two people who simply love each other.

Chapeux dear Justin, how delicate, I love it.

The ring has an estimated value of $500,000 – 1,000,000 and was designed by Fred Leighton, while Jennifer Meyer , a friend of Aniston, designed the two wedding bands.

In the end, let me tell you that I have great admiration for those men who give meaningful rings; who want to add a personal touch to the symbolic value, who strive to prevent the ring from remaining just a beautiful jewel and who make sure that the ring speaks to you every day about their love.

Dear Friends, what do you think about it?
